Something similar happened to my husband's business website, except that the web developer scalped his domain name, locking him out by setting up the domain with a typo, and using a pseudonym to try to resell the correct domain to him at 10x the cost! I wish this problem weren't so common! In the future protect yourselves by having an iron-clad, attorney-reviewed contract with non-disclosures and the works for anyone that does work on the site, so that you can effectively take legal action if anyone else tries to do this.
I'm saddened to see that this thief is Norwegian, as I am of Norwegian extraction. Something about this guy makes me think he's fake! He's barely past 20 years old, has hardly a social media presence, and his website is awfully sparse for him being a tech guy -- there are NO employees, and only a very small circle of people connected with him, almost all of which have his last name!
Has this guy got our data? And payment details. I didn't authorise that, he's leaving himself open to GDPR prosecution if in EU.
Is there a way we can pursue this further, I want to know who this person is and how to contact them if he now has my data and payment information without my permission.

Payments were processed by Stripe, so it's all secure, encrypted and even we don't have access to people's information.
